After the Historic SONA of President Duterte, many things have been given attention, from the speech of President which some says "Hugot" lines, and of course the outfit of mostly known personalities.
Just like the previous State of the Nation Addresses (SONA), Senator Nancy Binay’s gown drew flak on social media for her gown at President Rodrigo Duterte’s very first SONA.
Sen. Binay wore a terno during the opening of the Senate session and changed into a stylish black gown for the SONA proper and it became controversial as netizens found her dress and even her pouch in resemblance with cartoon characters, a leche flan, a black telescope fish, among others.
Netizens notice there is something strange in Nancy's gown.
Compared to the previous SONAs, Duterte administration takes a simple route with the implementation of a new dress code.
Malacañang has reminded legislators and guests to wear only business attire in the SONA instead of long gowns and suits.
In 2014, Sen. Binay changed into the white Filipiniana dress designed by Randy Ortiz after being criticized for her first dress also designed by Ortiz.
Last year, several criticisms were thrown at her after her photos wearing Ortiz’s creation circulated online.
