During his daily trips to and from Mandaue City, Victor Villegas talks to his passengers in "balak," a form of spoken word poetry native to the Philippine province.
His wit and knack for stringing words together in his Cebuano dialect has led to him becoming quite an online sensation.
One video of Villegas, uploaded by a Facebook user named Mikel Hermosada more than two weeks ago, has more than 150,000 views.
Most of his passengers, in an interview with ABS-CBN News, said that listening to Villegas' "balak" relieves them of their stress from work.
Villegas has four children, three of whom are in college. He said he supports his kids by driving his
jeepney from 5 am until midnight.
