- it was recorded the removal of an Indian boy with longest tail in medical history.
18cm tail from an 18 year old boy from India was reportedly removed and doctors believe this is the longest tail ever recorded and removed from a human body.
The boy's parent want to keep it secret forever and today neurosurgeons are finally able to relieve him of this burden. The tail had been causing the boy discomfort and pain and he had trouble sitting and sleeping.
The doctor stated that if the tail had been removed right after birth there would have been less complications, and if the vestigial tail is left unattended there is a chance that it can cause bladder, bowel and leg function problems.
The surgeon believes that this boy’s case is a rare one and will be presented in medical journals.
